Who
we are

Maria Poppins is a small, independent nursery, run by an experienced and qualified teacher and experienced childcare provider.

We are situated in the heart of Lewisham, with a beautiful interior, providing safe, attractive, warm surroundings for active minds to be at work in.

We also have a specially adapted baby room.

We provide full or part-time care for babies and children aged 9 months to 5 years.

to learning

Nurturing each child’s individual potential is at the core of everything we do. Our learning activities are designed to encourage social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

We provide a structured day with a balance of free play and adult-led activities, many with a creative focus, and topics that aim to cover the full spectrum of Foundation Level requirements.

We keep the number of children on roll limited, allowing our experienced and compassionate carers to provide individual attention. This ensures effective social integration, so children feel confident and happy while exploring new experiences and developing to their full potential.

We provide varied, healthy meals and snacks, and are able to cater to special dietary requirements.

They are police (DBS) checked and either fully qualified or in training.

Maria Poppins is a dynamic team of experts who have a passion for Early Years Education. Each member of our team brings a wealth of experience whilst adding their own personal talents, skills, and accomplishments. It is managed by experienced teachers, Paola Scarano (founder) and Andreia Jesus (nursery manager).
